One of my passions is macro insect photography and this is it at it's best - amazing! My ambition is to buy the MP-E 65mm lens as at the moment I am having to make do with a 50mm 1.8 with extension tubes to capture those tiny little critters and although this can achieve some interesting shots, the dof drives me mad sometimes!

Very inspirational for those of us who are learning advanced photo techniques. Macro photography is a completely different world of photography with unique technical challenges, but with surreal results.

Very interesting and informative!

I dabble in macro here and there but not enough. Do you have the water to the brim in your "custom made pot of water" so that with the low angle the edge isn't seen? Or how did you get the effect of the never ending water? The pictures are great!

VERY good!! Might I add, dont get discouraged because you dont have an expensive macro lens; I can transform my Canon 18-55mm IS lens (Yeah, its a kit lens, but thats all I can afford at the moment) into an ULTRA magnifying microscope- for $5. http://cgi.ebay.com/lens-adapter-58-mm-Reverse-Mount-Adapter-Canon-EOS-/220633147312?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0 I have a ton of fun with this thing, and it can get some really great pics on a budget!
