Three of my photographs will be featured in the fourth issue (January) of the PhotoPlus magazine for Canon photographers. Two of the images (Jenny Lake and a Walrus) will be showcased in the ‘Inspirations’ section of the magazine. The third photograph of a robin in flight will be included in an article on how to photograph back garden birds.
On 14th December, at an awards ceremony in the Natural History Museum, I was awarded the Olympus Portfolio Prize in the RSPCA Young photographer competition. My entry consisted of five bird images and I also won two highly commended titles with my photographs of two lion cubs and a chicken.
I recently won first place in the Youth section of the National Wildlife Federation’s annual photography competition with my photograph of two grooming Japanese Macaques.
We managed to take some great photos of last night’s lunar eclipse using a 400mm lens and two teleconverters.
The photographs from Zambia and Botswana have now been uploaded onto Burrard-Lucas.com. The trip encompassed Victoria Falls (Zambia) and the Linyanti Reserve in Northern Botswana.
My photo of a Blue Tit in Flight came in at fourth place in the PhotographyCorner.com Photographer of the Year Competition. The competition had over 150 high class entries which were voted on by the public.
The photos from last year’s South Africa trip have now been uploaded. All of the photographs were taken in the Coastal areas in and around Cape Town.
